Importance Of Fit
In the UK 7 out of 10 women wear the wrong bra size we all know the importance of the correct fit for the right look under your clothes your underwear is just as important as your outerwear.
SHAPE8.COM know that many products size differently as different brands range slightly to others if you find your bra does not fit perfectly when you receive it then please call our customer services on 01793-335660 who will be happy to help you either exchange your bra or return it for a full refund.
Measuring Yourself
For best results we recommend wearing an unpadded bra whilst measuring yourself. This increases the accuracy of the measurement. We recommend that you enlist the help of a friend or partner to assist you. Then follow the guide below: -
Underbust measurement (B)
1. Take a measurement directly underneath the bust keep the tape reasonably tight but not too tight and note the measurement.
2. If your measurement is an odd number in inches e.g. 33inches then add 5 inches = 38 this is your back measurement if it is an even number 34 inches then add 4 inches = 38 this is your back measurement.
Overbust measurement (A)
Take a measurement around the fullness of the bust make sure the tape is level across your back and make a note of it. The difference between measurement (A) and measurement (B) equals the cup size. For example the under bust was 34 inches and cup size measurement was 40 inches a difference of 6 inches that makes a size 34 F.

Fitting guide
Once you have received your bra you should try it on to check the fit. Follow our fitting guide.
- The bra should be fitted on the loosest hook and should be level across the back and feel comfortable if it rides up at the back its too big try a chest size smaller this will effect the cup size and you will need to go up a cup size.
- The Breasts should still well contained with in the cup with no bulging over the top of the cup or underarm if it does then try a cup size larger. If there is excess space a cup size smaller is needed.
- Adjust the straps to sit comfortably on the shoulder make sure they are not too tight that they dig into you. If they do then try a cup size larger.
- If your bra is under wired check that the wires are sitting gently on your rib cage just under your bust there should be no gap between you and your bra if there is try a larger cup size.
- It is important that the garment is fitted correctly - check with a friend or partner on all the points mentioned here to ensure that you are comfortable and that your underwear is working for you.
